Schengen Excursion

igosmik

May 9th is Europe Day in Luxembourg.

On the eve of this holiday, within the framework of the project "Once upon a time there was Luxembourg", children of the senior category visited Schengen, a small town in the southeast of Luxembourg.

It was here that on June 14, 1985, the representatives of Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Germany and the Netherlands signed the Borderless Zone agreement.

The children visited the European Museum, touched the wreckage of the Berlin Wall, examined the Columns of Nations, recognizing from the images of unique monuments which country each column represents.

Then they took part in a team game of experts from the EU countries.

The team "Order of Border Guards" won with a huge margin, thanks to its participant, Vladimir Tumanshin, who, by right, got the main prize of the game.
