September 21 - the beginning of the school year at Kalinka school

The first day of school at Kalinka school has passed.
How many flowers, smiles, pleasant words and emotions he gave to adults and children, students, parents and teachers!

Let this positive attitude continue throughout the school year!!!! 🤩

Happy new school year!

October 26 - ABC holiday

Our Zyabliki finished studying the ABC book and had a farewell party with their first textbook.

The exciting journey of getting to know letters is behind us, so we decided to extend it and went into space in search of "letter" planets!

The journey was full of obstacles and interesting tasks, but we did great! And now we are old enough to start reading big books.

November 9 - "Golden Autumn" holiday

Autumn is a magical time of year when nature transforms before our eyes. The leaves of the trees slowly change their green color to a palette of bright autumn shades - golden, orange, red. They, like an artist's brush, paint the landscape, creating a magical atmospheric mood.

The same mood reigned on Saturday in the RTS classes, the children celebrated and saw off the golden autumn. 🍂

November 30 - school vocal competition "Nightingale trill"

On November 30, the annual vocal competition “Nightingale Trill” was held at Kalinka School.
We are pleased to note that every year the level of young contestants continues to grow, and it becomes increasingly difficult to distribute places.

Of course, all participants deserved awards, because everyone won in our competition!

We thank the children for their bright performances, which caused a storm of emotions among the audience, for their courage - and going out on stage and performing in front of a full hall is a real feat.

We would like to express special gratitude to the parents and children for their careful preparation, their creative approach to choosing the repertoire, their persistent rehearsals and original stage costumes.
We wish all participants further creative success and new victories!

New Year's holidays

Our students became spectators of the wonderful New Year's performance "Cinderella", prepared by the actors of the school theater studio "Igra".

"Someday they will ask: what can you actually present? And no connections will help make the foot small, the soul large, and the heart just."

And Father Frost and Snow Maiden also dropped by the school. There were many songs, games, and dances. Many children came in their best carnival costumes and received funny prizes for this.

January 18 -
school chess tournament

A chess tournament was held in Kalinka.
It was held at a high level, all the guys tried hard and showed the will to win.

We congratulate the prize winners and wish them further success in unraveling the secrets of this mysterious and exciting game.

March 1st - Maslenitsa

The festival of the sun, the festival of farewell to winter, the awakening and renewal of nature after a long winter.
In all cultures, the carnival holiday has always been associated with the end of winter and the revival of nature.

In Luxembourg, the carnival is called Fuesend and is traditionally celebrated between Liichtmёssdag, which takes place on February 2, and Aschermёttwoch, which falls on the Wednesday of the first week of Lent, this year on March 5. During this period, costumed processions along the main streets and children's parties take place throughout the country.

The most famous carnival takes place in the city of Diekirch. This year it will take place on Sunday, March 2.

As part of the ZhBL project, middle-school students compared the similarities between the traditions of carnival and Maslenitsa.

And the senior pupils used associative situations (they drew rays-associations to the picture of a pancake). And they also read texts that revealed the problem: why in ancient Slavic they called it "Komoeditsa" and why now it is "Maslenitsa".

We looked at what kinds of pancakes, fillings, and other dishes there are for Maslenitsa, why they say "Forgiveness Sunday", and also watched an excerpt about the celebration of this fun holiday from the film "The Barber of Siberia".

Museum Day

Our high school students took a tour of the historic center of Luxembourg.

How interesting it is to discover the still unknown pages of the history of a country located in the very heart of Europe.

Luxembourg's history is rich with events. Throughout its history, the country has been subject to constant attacks, devastating conquests, destruction, and reconstruction. Traces of this turbulent past can be seen everywhere.

Excursions are a wonderful opportunity to experience history firsthand and visit fabulously interesting places.

Space theme

An exhibition of children's works on the theme of space and space exploration has opened at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Luxembourg.

The children from our school took an active part and presented many interesting and unusual works at the exhibition.

Many boys and girls became winners and prize winners of the competition in various categories.

Congratulations to everyone and we wish you continued success and creativity!!!! You are our stars!!!!!

March 1st - Maslenitsa

Our gala concert in honor of the school’s 15th anniversary has finally ended.

It was a truly vibrant and touching event that brought together students, parents, teachers, and friends of the school under one roof.

The gala concert dedicated to this significant date exceeded all expectations!
The concert was designed as a journey through time: from the emergence of the first school class in 2010 to the present day.

From the very first minutes, an atmosphere of celebration, pride, and unity was palpable. Each performance evoked a wave of emotion, tears of joy, and pride for the school and the students.

Songs, poems, and dramatizations were performed, and dances swept through the air. Everything was filled with soul and enthusiasm.

The congratulations from past graduates were touching—it was living proof that Kalinka leaves a deep mark on the hearts of its students.

The concert's superb organization is truly remarkable: everything was smooth and well-coordinated, yet warm and intimate. For this, I'd like to express special gratitude to Inna Richard, a teacher at the Russian Theatre School and the head of the creative team preparing the concert. Inna poured her heart and soul into this event!

The anniversary became not only a reason for pride, but also an inspiration for the future.
Kalinka School is not just a school, it is a large and friendly family, where teachers and students are one whole, a single living organism.

We thank everyone who came to share this wonderful holiday with us!
Happy birthday, Kalinka! Keep moving forward to new heights!
