June 23rd - National holiday in Luxembourg

June 23 is a national holiday in Luxembourg.

Luxembourgers call the holiday Groussherzogsgebuertag (birthday of the Grand Duke) or Nationalfeierdag (National Day).

Why is June 23rd celebrated?

During the lesson as part of the project, our students learned what the coat of arms, flag and anthem of Luxembourg are.

We found out why this holiday is celebrated on June 23rd.

We learned about the beloved and respected Duchess Charlotte.

Also during the lesson, we designed postcards with a view of the Bridge of Adolphe in the manner of Jacques Schneider, a contemporary Luxembourg photographer and artist.
