On Saturday, March 1st, the EduPôle in Walferdange hosted its first conference
national schools of Luxembourg.
Representatives of eleven schools (in Luxembourg there are almost three times more) were able to take part in the first meeting: Portuguese, Italian, Lithuanian, Spanish, Finnish and others. Each participant presented their school and talked about the most original and successful project, event, teaching method.
Representatives of our Kalinka were also present at this extraordinary and interesting meeting: director Anna Radishevskaya and teacher Anastasia Goldwasser.
The director of Kalinka introduced our school, telling about its main "pillars": learning through music, integrating students into the cultural life of Luxembourg and systematic teaching of reading and writing, and the teacher of the alphabet classes shared a scientifically proven method, which is based on an explanation of why it is at the age of 5 that our little students begin to read and write, and why on the eve of this important stage there is a mandatory meeting - getting to know the parents and the 5-year-old child who is coming to our school for the first time and is preparing to start studying in the alphabet group.
The event was very dynamic, informative, useful and gave impetus to new ideas. Representatives of our school established new contacts for cooperation and exchange of experience.
