On March 9, the second spring culinary master class was held at Kalinka School.

This time the menu included an elegant multi-layered dessert, Tiramisu. The master class on the most popular Italian delicacy was conducted by the mother of our student Anna Indizio, Irina Smetkina.

The children and their parents listened to the story of how this sweet dish was created and learned that Tiramisu literally translates from Italian as “pull me up,” indicating its invigorating properties.

Our little chefs took the process of preparing the dessert very seriously: they beat the mixture of eggs and sugar, added Mascarpone to it to get the most delicate cream.

Then everyone began to work with great enthusiasm on the layers of airy Savoiardi biscuits, first dipping them in the coffee mixture.

Less than 30 minutes later, His Majesty Tiramisu was ready!

While the dessert was steeping, Giuseppe, another member of the friendly Indizio family, put on a real piano concert for all the guests!

In a warm atmosphere, time passed unnoticed and it was time to try our culinary masterpiece. Tiramisu, made with love, turned out great!

We thank the host Irina and our participants for a wonderful meeting!

We have a summer master class ahead of us, and in summer it’s more pleasant to spend time and cook outdoors!
